As part of the new Fields of Grace Family and our continued outreach efforts, we are in the process of forming the Society of St. Vincent de Paul of Wyoming County to assist those in need in our local communities.
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul exists to bear witness to Christ by serving the poor. Our particular role as Christians is to find the poor and give them the aid they need. This will be our parish family’s way of making a direct, local impact for our neighbors.
St. Vincent de Paul is a lay, non-profit organization separate from the diocese, so all donations will remain within the local conference and will be used to serve those within our communities.
We are looking for volunteers to get involved in planned missions that we hope will include a food pantry, home visits, and other charitable acts to support the less fortunate. We will be holding a meeting and prayer session for all those interested after 10:00am mass on Sunday, January 19th in Weber Hall. Light refreshments will be served. All are welcome to come and learn more about the Society and its mission.
Additionally, if you are not able to volunteer your time, please note that you will start to see advertisements for donations and other collection drives starting in the new year. We hope that you will be as generous as you are able.
If you are in need of assistance, or would like to learn more, please call or text Stephanie George (716-864-3210) or Erin Armstrong (716-983-1885).
