Just as Jesus spent 40 days in the desert to fast and pray, so are we called into our own Lenten journey of prayer, fasting and alms giving. As followers of Christ, we welcome the stranger, comfort the sick and give to those in need. We live our faith through how we treat our brothers and sisters.
The Faith Formation Students of St. Michael’s will be collecting personal care items beginning Ash Wednesday, March 5th, through Lent. Bins will be located in the back of each church. Items collected will be distributed to local agencies in our immediate area to assist our neighbors in need.
Items to be collected include, but are not limited to; Soap, Shampoo, Toilet Paper, Razors, Deodorant, Kleenex, Feminine Care Items, Paper Towels and Laundry and Household Cleaning Items.
As we walk our Lenten journey, may we pray that those in need find kindness and a helping hand in our community, and relief in their struggles through the Lord. Thank you for your support.
